UPDATES ON SLEM FROM STEVE DEAN
INFORMATION ON SLEM TEST AVAILABILITY TO BE SENT TO ALL KC BREEDERS
I have just received this information from the Kennel Club:
“The Health Team, will soon be emailing every breeder of Border Terriers that has registered a litter with us in the past 5years to advise them about the disease, the DNA test and how they can interpret and use the results.”.
KC RECORDING OF SLEM TEST RESULTS
The Kennel Club has received SLEM test results for 444 dogs from the AHT. They have informed me that it will take several days to get these entered on the KC database. I therefore suggest that those with tested dogs should wait for at least one week before checking to see if their results are available on-line under the KC Mate Select service or through MyKC. If after one week your result is not entered, then please inform the KC and copy me on the email. Use the email hbs@thekennelclub.org.uk to contact the KC health team.
Please bear in mind any results that became available since the end of October may not be included in this listing and will be reported to the KC early in December.
Dogs from overseas and swabs that were submitted to the AHT without KC registration details, will not be included in the results sent to the KC.
